Jose Oliva
Jose Oliva is from Xelaju, Guatemala. Jose founded and directed the Chicago Interfaith Workers’ Center in 2001 and then became the Coordinator of Interfaith Worker Justice’s National Workers’ Centers Network. He held several leadership positions at the Restaurant Opportunities Centers United the national organization of restaurant workers. Jose was the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Food Chain Workers Alliance a national coalition of food worker organization representing over 370,000 workers. Jose received the 2017 James Beard Award and the 2018 Food Heroes Award and is currently the Director of Campaigns at the HEAL Food Alliance.
