Born in Puerto Rico to Dominican parents, Edna was raised in The Hague, Netherlands, and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Edna's commitment to equitable funding is evident in all of her work. A seasoned nonprofit leader, Edna is a trusted advisor to food and agriculture organizations, particularly for those seeking to deepen impact or support national food systems movements during times of transition. She is the former Executive Director of RAFI, where she led and deepened the organization’s impact while serving national food systems movements. In 2025, Edna transitioned from RAFI to focus on the Red Clover Collaborative in a full-time role. She is an expert in strategy, governance, and philanthropy advising. Edna has also served as Senior Program Officer at the Atlanta Women’s Foundation and Director of Educational and Career Services at the Latin American Association in Atlanta, GA. Edna holds a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Haverford College. Edna lives in the Dominican Republic with her husband, three children, and their dogs.
